KILLER MOTH: Threat or Household Fly?

As of recently, locals have been reporting the notorious Killer Moth participating in strange, out of league crimes. Whilst the criminal is usually known for his less than serious nature, you will be SHOCKED to find out that he had managed to pull off grand theft! We've gotten information from undisclosed sources that this report was NOT covered by major news sites in order to cover up the major articles stolen from the Gotham Museum. However, our interviews with local news stations have been proven fruitless and we have not been able to get information to confirm or deny the current claims regarding Killer Moth.
However, dear sleuths, this begs the question. Even with stolen gems, is Killer Moth the threat he assumedly wants to be? Or is he merely a household fly, managing to wiggle his way into the ear of Gotham, for a mere moment of true concern and annoyance? Today, we'll be compiling some of the recent things he has done to stir trouble in Gotham.
Power Breach
You'll likely remember the breach that occurred at Gotham's main power station a year ago. Unsurprisingly, there are details to prove that this issue was caused directly by Killer Moth. A motive is clear from the get-go. Killer Moth's recent known crimes have mostly revolved around light, lamps, etc. Not to mention, his name makes quite the obvious statement! It isn't too hard to guess that a villain with a moth-based namesake may have been behind one of the biggest... crimes? inconveniences? Whatever you'd like to call it, in recent Gotham history.
The case began at 10:42pm, when citizens of Gotham noticed that their lights simply wouldn't shut off. Lights that were off suddenly turned on, and some people even reported other electronics such as microwaves and washing machines randomly turning on. This was later reported to have been a breach of the main power station in Gotham City. Although the culprit was never revealed to public, nor if they were caught or not, Killer Moth is the prime suspect of many people.
Villain Rescue
Killer Moth's original crimes aren't always common knowledge. However, simply by asking a few of our pals, we've dug back in the newspapers to figure out which rumors of his origin are true. We can confirm that the earliest documented case of Killer Moth's crimes were rescues of apprehended criminals. In many situations, Killer Moth was seen swooping in to the rescue, snatching up captured bad guys and saving the day! Well, for the criminals of Gotham. It has been rumored that some tech was recovered from his early days, but we have no way to confirm or deny these claims. Let us know if you've got any inside scoops on this!
Personally, I just really want to know if the Moth-Signal was real...
And Finally... Theft!!!!
This isn't something unusual for criminals or villains. Most of the time with Killer Moth, it's been low blows. Convenience stores. The typical banks. ATMS. Nothing much needs to be said about that. However, let's bring up the elephant in the room regarding this. His most recent case.
Killer Moth was spotted by multiple unnamed witnesses, saying that he left the Gotham Museum with a blue pearl, commonly nicknamed "Oceanus" due to its original home in the deep seas, taken from a killer oyster that Aquaman defeated! Many people don't believe that it has mystical powers like rumors say, but you know me. I love a good conspiracy!
If this pearl is as powerful as people say it is, Killer Moth isn't JUST a household fly. He's not even a mosquito! I'd say he's one of those freaky spiders from Australia! He's been working up to become a feared villain, and I think he just might be doing it.
